Giwa[GEE-wah]
Find Me At Your Local Park!
Wave hello! I'll wave back... with my trunk!
My trunk is like a superpower. I can use it to pick up a tiny peanut, splash water over my back, smell delicious plants from far away, or give another elephant a friendly hello. But did you know elephants can't jump? That's right! We're simply too big, so all four feet stay firmly on the ground.
Safari Secret 🐘
Elephants "talk" using deep rumbles that are so low humans often can't hear them, but other elephants several kilometres away can! Can you follow my enormous footprints on your adventure?

Character Traits
What makes Giwa so special? These are the amazing qualities that make every adventure extra fun!
Why We’ve Chosen 'Hausa' Names For Our Animals
All of our safari animal characters have names inspired by Hausa, one of Africa's most widely spoken and culturally significant languages. While Western media often use Swahili when naming African animal characters (such as in The Lion King), we chose Hausa to celebrate the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of West and Central Africa. Spoken by millions of people across countries including Nigeria, Niger, Ghana, Cameroon, and Chad, Hausa is used in everyday life, storytelling, music, trade, education, radio, and television. With its rich history, vibrant culture, and strong oral storytelling traditions, Hausa is the perfect inspiration for bringing our African Safari adventure to life.
